S-3, r. 1 - Amusement Rides Regulation

1. In this Regulation, unless otherwise indicated,
“carrier” means any tub, car, chair, seat or other device designed for amusement ride users (véhicule);
“Electrical Code” means the Code referred to in Chapter V of the Building Code (chapter B-1.1, r. 2) (Code de l’électricité);
“rated capacity” means the maximum number of persons, established by the manufacturer, who may occupy an amusement ride or a carrier (capacité nominale);
“safety retainer” means a wire rope, chain, bar or other device designed to prevent a carrier or any other moving part of an amusement ride from becoming disengaged or from overturning should the primary retainer fail (fixation de secours);
“supply system” means the electrical system supplying power to an amusement ride or to a group of rides from the same consumer’s service or from a same generator (réseau d’alimentation).
